Rocko's ideal home

Rocko is a very special boy who is on the search for his forever home. Due to an unfortunate event before coming to the centre Rocko has suffered from severe burns to his head, face and back- this has resulted in some permanent hair loss and the removal of one of his eyes. He has now been medically cleared and is searching for his forever home. Despite everything he has been through, Rocko has taken everything in his stride which is a testament to his character and the hard work of his foster carers and our vet team. Rocko can struggle with vocalisation when seeing other dogs and needs adopters who can manage this and help with his frustration. Rocko can live with a well-matched dog in the home pending meets at the centre. Rocko has been enjoying life in foster – he can pick up random objects in the house so has been learning a drop and swap cue to help manage this. He can live with older teenagers in the home as he can be worried by younger children. He would like a private and secure garden to enjoy with his family. Adopters will receive both a vet and behaviour call from our team upon a booking.

Rocko is a cheeky little Frenchie with a super loving side. His favourite thing to do is to play with toys, chasing after them when thrown and carrying them around. He particularly like chew toys and tennis balls. When he isn’t playing, Rocko can be found snuggling up to his foster carers for a snooze. Rocko absolutely adores food and knows a range of tricks that he loves to show off including sit, paw, wait and more. He is such a wonderful boy who has adjusted to changes in his life amazingly.
